Headings to tell the examiner where you're heading!

Use the IRAC formula for writing out your exam answers. The NCA favours this method of writing (see my previous blog post on how to use the IRAC method).

Whenever possible, use headings and subheadings to organize your answers on the exam. You have to remember that the examiners are marking hundreds of papers and that they need to be able to locate the answers on your page as quickly as possible so they can move on to the next paper. Using headings also ensures that you don't miss out on some marks that the examiner may overlook when they are skimming your answers.
